Jens Larsen, Chief European Economist, RBC Capital Markets

Jens Larsen is Chief European Economist and a Managing Director for RBC Capital Markets. Based in London, Jens works closely with RBC's fixed income and equity teams in the U.K. and Europe, as well as with the economics teams globally.

Jens joined RBC in 2010 from the Bank of England, where he was head of the Macro Financial Analysis Division, providing financial market analysis to the Monetary Policy Committee. In previous roles at the Bank of England, he has worked as staff Economist and Manager, and as Private Secretary to the Deputy Governor for Monetary Policy. From 2006 to 2008, Jens was Alternate Executive Director for the United Kingdom on the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund.

Jens has a PhD and MSc in Economics from the University of Southampton, U.K., and a BA in Economics from the University of Aarhus, Denmark.
